I walked into Public Church the first Sunday of my sophmore year. From the start there was something about it that grabbed my attention and from there on out when I did *actually* go to church, I went to Public Church—In January I knew I had to get involved (and stop ducking out immediately after the service) if I was ever going to grow or have any sort of faith community in my life. So I showed up to team night and said I wanted to serve on the creative team. All my friends were on it so it felt like a good option. And it was. And last night was proof of that. As we gathered, the entirety of the worship, production, and creative team, an immense gratitude for these people and the way they have loved me and drawn me in from the very beginning washed over me. These people, all the way up to the pastor remembered my name after one introduction—which sounds like such a simple thing but something that spoke volumes to me. They continually look outward, past the walls of our building and ask “how can we help?” And they have taught me so much. I am thankful for the home I have found in Public Church and for how everything fell into place for me to be in Cleveland all summer. Because God knew I needed more time here—with this team—learning to serve with the gifts I’ve been given and know Him more fully. So thank you for equipping me to do the same for someone else—to show them that they belong here too.
I’ve spoken to a total of 3 people I know today and honestly that was almost too many—oh the joys of being an introvert 🤦🏽‍♀️😂 But on another note, I walked 20 minutes to find lunch today and got to make some fun graphics and learned some fun things along the way! Oh and I stopped by the Chattanooga Choo Choo to document my good makeup day with this selfie. 🙌🏽 and now I’m off to bed at 10:00pm to finish recharging my lil introvert self so I can go full force tomorrow! • • • How do you recharge when your social meter is on empty?

So, can we take a minute to talk about podcasts? Cause I love them—seriously love them. My current favorites are @caseyneistat ‘s Couples Therapy and @donmilleris ‘s Building A Storybrand. Oh and @ianmorgancron ‘s Typology! Three very different podcasts but all just so incredible. 😍 Now it’s your turn! What are your go-to podcasts?
